Sunday 7th September - to mark in our United Reformed churches!

Just a quick reminder that Sunday 7th Sept. is the day set aside by our Global Partners The Presbyterian Church in Taiwan, Chiayi Presbytery, to mark ecumenical partnerships.
I would like to encourage all our North Western Synod churches to at least hold a time of prayer for Taiwan, PCT and Chiayi Presbytery during your main services of worship on that day.
To follow shortly I will be emailing, from our Taiwanese partners, a translated copy of the service prepared by them that all their local churches in Chiayi will be sharing in locally there.
You may want to share in some Taiwanese music, photos or Taiwanese tea or some delicious mango. The photo inserted is of special green mango being prepared in Taiwan. It is hard to find in the UK however you can easily now get fairtrade mango from supermarkets from other countries - which would give a lovely taster of something different to try in worship or after the service with tea!
I appreciate things are busy in September but Chiayi are delighted that we would like to share in marking a special day in their church calender so hope it will become a firm favourite in our church calenders too!
