7th September 2008 to be adopted as special Sunday

Chiayi Presbytery Ecumenical Committee set aside one Sunday per year, the first Sunday in September, as their dedicated day for the Ecumenical Committee. When I was there we discussed United Reformed Churches of the North Western Synod also adopting this Sunday so we can pray in solidarity together for The Presbyterian Church in Taiwan & churches & their related issues of Chiayi Presbytery.

This year Sunday 7th September 2008 is set aside as the special PCT day. Chiayi Presbytery will also hold a special worship service at Dong Ming Church where Revd James Ching Chang Pan is minister. It is the oldest church in the Presbytery. Chiayi Presbytery will prepare some worship material for that Sunday and we will hope to have it translated so that our churches can take part in it here in the North West. In their Presbytery CWM students are also invited to churches on that day.
